Role Overview

As the Registrar, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing student enrollment and records management across all year groups at Chelsea Academy. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and parents, ensuring a seamless admissions process and maintaining accurate student records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the admissions process for Year 7, Year 12, and in-year admissions.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts, correspondence with parents, and primary school liaison.
  • Organize open days, presentations, and school tours.
  • Prepare documentation and facilitate admission appeals.
  • Provide guidance to the Governing Body on adherence to the Admissions Code.
  • Maintain waiting lists and oversee Year 7 transition activities.
  • Manage student departures and liaise with local authorities.
  • Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Handle correspondence with parents and external agencies.
  • Assist with GDPR compliance and manage educational record requests.
  • Support the Academy’s Christian ethos and mission statement.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to work independently and make sound judgments under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Prior experience in admissions or administration, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Commitment to professional development and safeguarding practices.
